Screening for Plagiarism Policy

All manuscripts submitted to Indonesian Journal of Legal Reform (IJLR) will undergo plagiarism screening before entering the peer-review process. The journal is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring the originality of all published works.

The editorial team uses reliable plagiarism detection software, such as Turnitin and/or iThenticate, to examine the similarity level of submitted manuscripts. Authors are expected to submit original manuscripts that are free from plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, and other forms of academic misconduct.

The acceptable similarity limit is a maximum of 20% overall similarity, excluding references, quotations, and commonly used academic phrases. Manuscripts with excessive similarity levels or indications of plagiarism may be rejected directly or returned to the authors for revision.

Authors are fully responsible for ensuring proper citation and acknowledgment of all sources used in their manuscripts. Any ethical violations related to plagiarism discovered before or after publication will be handled according to the journal’s publication ethics policy.
