Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts to JLHRS : Journal of Law and Human Rights Studies. Submitted manuscripts must not have been published previously or be under consideration for publication in other journals.

Manuscript Requirements

  1. Manuscripts must be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia.
  2. The manuscript should be typed in MS Word format using Times New Roman, font size 12 pt, and 1.5 line spacing.
  3. The length of the manuscript should be approximately 5,000–8,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.
  4. The manuscript title should be concise, clear, and informative.
  5. Authors must provide:
    • Full name(s) of author(s)
    • Institutional affiliation(s)
    • Email address(es)
    • Abstract and keywords
  6. The abstract should contain 150–250 words and include the research objectives, methods, findings, and conclusions.
  7. Authors should provide 3–5 keywords relevant to the manuscript topic.

Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should generally consist of:

  1. Title
  2. Author Information
  3. Abstract
  4. Keywords
  5. Introduction
  6. Research Method
  7. Results and Discussion
  8. Conclusion
  9. References

Citation and References

  1. Authors are required to use citation management tools such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
  2. References should follow the APA Style (7th Edition) or the citation style determined by the journal.
  3. Authors are encouraged to use recent and relevant scholarly references.
  4. All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list.

Tables and Figures

  1. Tables and figures must be clearly numbered and titled.
  2. Authors must ensure that all images, tables, and figures are of good quality and properly cited if taken from other sources.

Publication Ethics

Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are free from plagiarism, data fabrication, and other forms of academic misconduct. All submitted manuscripts will undergo plagiarism screening before entering the review process.

Submission Process

Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Authors are required to follow all submission steps and upload the necessary documents completely.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process. The editor reserves the right to accept, reject, or request revisions to the manuscript based on reviewers’ recommendations.

Article Processing Charge (APC)

JLHRS applies the following publication fee policy:

  • Submission Fee: Rp. 0
  • Article Processing Charge (APC): Rp. 200,000 for publication

The APC is charged only for manuscripts that have been accepted for publication.
