Peer Reviewer Process

Every manuscript submitted to the Lampung Journal of Administrative Law undergoes a substance review and similarity check, where the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential to maintain objectivity.

  1. Editorial Screening
The editor conducts an initial assessment regarding the article’s alignment with the journal’s focus and scope, originality, and compliance with author guidelines.
At this stage, a similarity check is also performed using plagiarism detection software. Articles with a high level of similarity may be immediately rejected or returned to the author for revision.
  2. Peer Review
Articles that pass the initial screening are forwarded to reviewers.
Reviewers evaluate the novelty, analytical depth, theoretical foundation, methodology, consistency of arguments, and the article’s contribution to the development of administrative law scholarship.
The similarity check results are also considered in the reviewer’s recommendation on the manuscript’s eligibility.
  3. Review Result
Reviewers provide recommendations in the form of: acceptance without revision, acceptance with minor revision, major revision, or rejection.
The editor combines the reviewers’ recommendations with the similarity check results to make the final decision on the manuscript.
  4. Revision Process
Authors are given the opportunity to revise their articles according to the reviewers’ feedback and similarity check evaluation within a specified timeframe.
  5. Final Decision
The editor conducts a final evaluation of the revised manuscript to determine its eligibility for publication.
  6. Copyediting & Proofreading
Accepted articles undergo language editing, formatting, and layout adjustments prior to publication.
