Publication Ethics
The Administrative Law Journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This journal follows the ethical guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects all parties involved in the publication process—including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—to uphold the principles of integrity, transparency, and academic responsibility.
Duties of Authors
Authors must submit original manuscripts that have not been published previously or submitted simultaneously to another journal. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others through accurate citation is required. Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, and redundant publication are strictly prohibited. All listed authors should have made significant contributions to the research and approve the final version of the manuscript before submission. Authors are also responsible for disclosing any conflicts of interest and ensuring that the research complies with applicable ethical and legal standards.
Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based solely on the academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance of the manuscript to the journal's scope. Editors evaluate submissions without discrimination regarding race, gender, nationality, religion, political beliefs, or institutional affiliation. Editors must preserve the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts, avoid conflicts of interest, and ensure that the peer-review process is conducted fairly, objectively, and transparently.
Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers contribute to editorial decisions by providing objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of submitted manuscripts. They should maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts and must not use unpublished information for personal advantage. Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited and inform the editor of any substantial similarities between the manuscript under review and other published works. Reviewers must decline the review if a conflict of interest exists.
Duties of the Publisher
The publisher is committed to supporting editorial independence and maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. The publisher works with editors to ensure ethical oversight throughout the publication process and takes appropriate action when ethical concerns, allegations of misconduct, or publication malpractice arise.
Publication Misconduct
The journal does not tolerate any form of publication misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, or unethical research practices. If misconduct is suspected before or after publication, the editorial team will investigate the matter in accordance with COPE recommendations. Appropriate actions may include manuscript rejection, publication of corrections, article retraction, or notification to the authors' affiliated institutions when necessary.
By submitting a manuscript to the Administrative Law Journal, authors confirm that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with this Publication Ethics statement.
