Peer Reviewer Process
All manuscripts submitted to Lampung Journal of Criminal Law (LJCL) will undergo a peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic contribution of the published articles.
Initial Editorial Review
Submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial team to assess their suitability with the journal’s focus and scope, writing quality, structure, and compliance with the author guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal standards may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected before the review process.
Peer Review Process
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening will be reviewed by independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. LJCL applies a double-blind peer-review process in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed to maintain objectivity and fairness.
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on several aspects, including:
- Originality and novelty of the research
- Relevance to the journal’s scope
- Clarity of research objectives and methodology
- Quality of analysis and discussion
- Contribution to criminal law and criminal justice studies
- Accuracy of references and citations
Review Decision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions:
- Accepted without revision
- Accepted with minor revisions
- Accepted with major revisions
- Rejected
Authors are required to revise the manuscript according to reviewers’ comments and submit the revised version within the specified time.
Final Decision
The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief and editorial board based on the reviewers’ evaluations and the quality of the revised manuscript.
Publication Ethics in Review
All manuscripts under review are treated confidentially. Reviewers and editors must avoid conflicts of interest and uphold ethical standards throughout the review process.
